A downloadable game for Windows

Welcome to your new job at the best burger joint this side of galaxy, Squelchies! Keep up with customer orders and try keep your head on a swivel. Squelchy likes to pinch pennies, so who knows what cost-cutting measure you'll have to deal with next.

- Note until the post-jam version comes out: avoid clicking the bell after the burger gets eaten, even when it's behind the textbox. It'll zero out the score for the current customer. Should be fixed in the next update.

Made for the Weight Gaming 2024 Gain Jam.

I loved this game! I just think it should have a more casual mode, especially for those who want to get all the high scores (the meteors were terrible...)

It would also be nice to see more character forms (I love Orva and The Muscles and would love to see more of them).

The tutorial text needs to be updated about the bread, to say it's now on the left side.

I am so in love with this game! The atmosphere, the aesthetics, gameplay is fun and challenging. I wish I could buy for a longer version, (that could maybe have more varied endings for the characters depending on what you feed them, like different growths). It reminded me of playing Order Up back in the day, haha

Oh damn I completely forgot about the dialogue saying where the buns were, woops! We do have plans to keep adding stuff to the game, mostly new characters and more days/modifiers for days. I think it will always stay as a quick arcadey style game instead of something more long-form, but I agree that something like that would be pretty fun.

Ok so customer asks for 5 raw burger patties. i give 5 raw burger patties and is unhappy. truly the most realistic service fetish game

That's odd. Did you get a good time and stack them relatively neatly? That's the only other thing that should be affecting score if all the ingredients are correct. I'll take a closer look at that order.

Game is great, but a bit short but overall still great. Do wish there an infinite mode

This was wonderful. I love the aesthetic and the art.

All of my complaints were addressed in your post-mortem already, and I'd love to see this expanded upon

This looked like a (semi-) relaxing kitchen handler game at first, but it turned out to be a test of speed, dexterity and patience. Oh, and memory too. That combination isn't something I'd want in one game.

The concept is great, fattening up returning customers over time by completing their orders. Though the execution on the gameplay side of things isn't. At least not if the goal was to get the same vibe as games with similar gameplay loops. Having to fight the fidgety physics seems like an unintentional part of the game that increases the difficulty by a lot without really delivering a payoff.

And as if that wasn't enough, said physics get jumbled up every other day to make keeping the burgers together even more of a problem.

All in all I'd say that there might be an audience that enjoys the additional difficulties compared to other kitchen games, but I'm not part of that and I can't really see the target group being  big enough to justify such decisions.

This game reminds me of a game created by that Creature Unknown guy (RIP), with the same kind of overall kitchen cooking concept. It also had questionable physics in it, based on what I can recall from my memory of it, and it really wasn't that fun.

This is just an exercise in frustration for me. The ingredients keep flipping around like they're fidget spinners in my hands and burgers sometimes disappear when you go to the customer and the meteors don't help at all, I feel as if there should be a couple days before that happens so that the player isn't immediately barraged by the difference in gameplay. In Papa Cooking games, the ingredients don't flip around willy nilly in your hands, they realistically slop down onto the ground if you don't aim them correctly. Great concept, cool art, gameplay could use some improvement.

Really entertaining game. A gallery of the character's weights along with a level select after one finishes the game will be great.

The bugs and crashes are the biggest issue thus far which prevent a full game run.

(+9)

Great game! Having a gallery of character's weight stages would be nice though)))

(+7)

this game is great. BUT (big one too), it would be cool to have a gauge of cleanliness and time because cause sometimes I get good grades and some times I don't. ALSO, not a huge fan of the meteors or anti grav. When the food floated up into the garbage chute,  twas indeed frustrating.

found a bug were if you grab a patty too quickly when you first enter the kitchen, the game completely crashes

Known bug, you're probably clicking the bell while it's hidden by the textbox and it's overriding the correct score with the empty plate score.

(+3)

Good game.

But.

Food disappears when you move between rooms.

And sometimes I can't understand why I'm getting such grades. I can't know where was the mistake.

At the first run I was getting Fs and Cs. On the second run I was getting As and Ss. Most of the time I was doing the same thing.

A quirky furry weight gain themed papa Louie game in space!? I don't have words to explain how much fun I'm having with this! Having loads of fun. Just wish there was more to it. Maybe a sequel or expansion later down the road?

(+7)

i dont mean to sound negative considering the audience for this game but some part of the game are frustrating, its hard to tell the difference between the toasted and non toasted cheeses, parts vanishing as you move between the screens because of things like meteorites hitting just before moving between screens (sometimes causing crashes with the food getting knocked around as you serve it being a big cause). the game is enjoyable but needs to be polished a bit in some smaller areas that kinda make the game a  bit sour or unfair. amazing game otherwise though and ofc hehe fat ppl

(1 edit) (+2)

Constructive criticism is needed, no matter what the creator creates, or who it is for. You're not being rude by sounding negative, you're just giving them what they need to hopefully improve the game. Don't be afraid to critique something.

(+2)

I keep following the orders exactly, but I keep getting Fs...

(+5)

Time and neatness are also factors for the score! If you got a burger haphazardly piled on a plate half an hour late with the bun upside down, you'd be mad too!

(+4)

Apparently I'm too lenient on my local Burger King, then, lol

(+4)

Lovely game, felt like that one scene from The Bear tbh

For real though, love the design, the gameplay, the characters, everything! The mechanic of them getting bigger the better your order is such a nice touch. 2nd and 3rd levels are definitely the toughest  and a gallery option would be nice too since you're timed. Other than that I really enjoyed it!!

(+5)

Short but definitely fun, although I wish there was a gallery mode so you could view the customers' weight stages after you beat the game. Or a way to repeat levels so you can try for a perfect score to see customers at their max weight (since their weight gain seems linked to score?)

It's mostly because the game is super hectic, especially when you have the asteroids modifier or the zero-g modifier, it's easy to screw up an order or take too long fixing it.

(+5)

Also, all the characters are super good, but especially the snake

I get a heart from a customer and then on the result screen I have an F from them, something's definitely wrong there. Perhaps I'm TOO good and the score values go too high and flip around to an F, lol
(EDIT: might be because I click the bell to proceed to the next customer, but because the plate is clear by then it gives me an F?)

i think this is the exact cause of the issue, something to fix for sure
